Wow, today someone pointed me to the single most sexist and dumb prompt for star trek I have ever read.
Okay let me run that down ....
Khan's blood doesen't turn Jim into a superman.
So that is your plot twist? Basically, just like in the movie?

Oh well, not sure whether my definition of awesome is the same, Kirk is kind of cute in the new movie but awesome? Do you mean he has moments of intelligence where he is allowed to think of the obvious that all other characters seem to miss, despite being highly trained Starfleet officers?
